What are student learning outcomes?
Student learning outcomes or SLOs are statements that specify what students will know, be able to do or be able to demonstrate when they have completed or participated in a program/activity/course/project. Outcomes are usually expressed as knowledge, skills, attitudes or values.

By the end of the course each student will write a paper that o demonstrates an understanding of how social class affects individual life chances.
First, you must submit a brief yet specific-summary of what you plan to write about. This summary is due Wednesday, January 28th and is worth 10 points. The final paper is due Wednesday, February 4th , and in addition to having a title page, it must be four to eight complete pages, 12-font, double-spaced, and with one inch margins. It must also be proofread and spellchecked for any errors.
